Poco F6 and F6 Pro Debut with Upgraded Specs and Competitive Pricing

Poco F6 and F6 Pro Launch with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and 8 Gen 2 Chips

Xiaomi has unveiled the highly anticipated Poco F6 and Poco F6 Pro, building on the success of last year’s F5 series. These new models bring several enhancements in performance, display quality, and battery life while maintaining competitive pricing.

Poco F6: Flagship Performance and Enhanced Display

The Poco F6 is powered by the flagship-grade Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, offering significant performance improvements over its predecessor, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. The chipset, built on a 4nm TSMC process, features the latest Cortex-X4 and Adreno 725, ensuring superior performance. The F6 comes with a base memory configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, with an option to upgrade to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.

The display is a standout feature of the Poco F6, featuring a 6.67-inch OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3, and Dolby Vision support. The screen boasts a peak brightness of 2,400 nits and utilizes 1,920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming for reduced eye strain. Additionally, the phone is more rugged than its predecessor, with an IP64 rating and Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Poco F6 Pro: Premium Features and Faster Charging

The Poco F6 Pro offers a more premium experience with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, known for its powerful GPU and high clock speeds. Memory options include 12GB RAM with either 256GB or 512GB storage, and a high-end 16GB RAM with 1TB storage variant for select markets.

The F6 Pro’s display is a 6.67-inch 1440p+ OLED panel with a peak brightness of 4,000 nits and 3,840Hz PWM dimming. This 12-bit display ensures exceptional color accuracy and brightness. The F6 Pro features a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging, capable of a full charge in just 19 minutes, though it lacks wireless charging.

Camera and Other Features

Both models sport a 50MP main camera with OIS, with the F6 Pro featuring a larger sensor size and a brighter f/1.6 aperture. The ultra-wide camera remains at 8MP, and the selfie camera has been upgraded to 20MP on the F6 and retained at 16MP on the F6 Pro.

Connectivity options include stereo speakers, NFC (region dependent), and an IR blaster. Notably, the F6 lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.
