Redmi’s upcoming flagship, the Redmi K80 Pro, has been teased by General Manager Wang Teng as a top performer, surpassing two competitors in China’s widely-used benchmark, AnTuTu. The K80 Pro scored an impressive 3,016,450 points, leaving rivals behind with scores of 2,832,981 and 2,738,065. This powerful new model is set to be a performance powerhouse for tech enthusiasts.
According to rumors, the K80 Pro will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, while the standard K80 will utilize the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Despite offering top-tier specs, the K80 Pro is expected to launch at a price lower than the OnePlus 13, which starts at CNY 4,499 (around $630). For context, the previous K70 Pro was priced at CNY 3,299 ($460), though price hikes are anticipated this year due to increased chipset costs.
Interestingly, the Redmi executive confirmed there won’t be a K80E model this year, leaving fans curious about why three K80 family members received certification. Both the K80 and K80 Pro are expected to feature a 6.67-inch “2K” 120 Hz display with IP68 dust and water resistance. Charging specs differ, with the K80 Pro rumored to support 120W wired and 50W wireless charging, while the K80 may offer 90W wired and 30W wireless capabilities.
Set to launch later this month, the Redmi K80 Pro promises to be an exceptional addition to the flagship market, blending powerful performance with competitive pricing. Stay tuned for official updates from Redmi.
