Oppo Find X8 Confirmed to Be Lighter Than Expected Despite Larger Battery

Oppo has officially confirmed that its upcoming Oppo Find X8 will be lighter than expected, despite packing a significantly larger 5700 mAh battery. Rumors previously suggested that the weight might exceed 200 grams, raising concerns about its in-hand feel. However, the latest news from the product manager reveals that the Oppo Find X8 weighs under 200 grams, alleviating those concerns.

This weight reduction is made possible by Oppo’s use of high-density silicon anode batteries, which allow for increased energy capacity without adding bulk. This is the same technology seen in other lightweight flagships like the Honor Magic V3. With an industry-leading energy density of 763Wh/L, the new battery tech is a game-changer for the Find X8 series, which includes the Oppo Find X8 Pro and Find X8 Ultra models.

In terms of performance, the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro will be powered by the Dimensity 9400 chipset, offering significant improvements in graphics and gaming performance over its predecessor. The Dimensity 9400 chipset will officially launch on October 9, marking a major upgrade from previous models such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and A18 Pro.

By implementing innovative battery technologies and weight-saving strategies, Oppo continues to deliver high-performing smartphones with enhanced battery life while maintaining a comfortable user experience. The Oppo Find X8 sets a new benchmark for flagship devices in 2024.
