OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro: New Cameras, Bigger Batteries, and Next-Gen Chipsets Unveiled

OnePlus is preparing to unveil the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, promising significant upgrades over their predecessors. These flagship models will launch in China alongside the highly anticipated Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, set to power the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro. Meanwhile, the Ace 5 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, ensuring top-tier performance for both devices.

One of the standout features of these phones is the camera setup. Both the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro will sport a 50 MP camera with a 1/1.56” IMX9 sensor from Sony. In addition, the Ace 5 Pro will include a telephoto periscope lens, a first for the Ace series, enhancing zoom capabilities and offering users a truly professional photography experience.

The display technology is also getting a massive upgrade. Both phones will use the X2 OLED panel by BOE, a flat screen with a 1.5K resolution (around 1260p), marking a departure from the curved displays seen in previous models.

A key difference between the two models lies in their performance capabilities, with the Ace 5 Pro being the more powerful option, thanks to the newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. However, both phones will be powered by OnePlus’ Glacier Battery technology, co-developed with CATL. This innovative battery design is thinner but packs a massive 6,000 mAh capacity, supporting 100W wired charging for faster and more efficient power-ups.

As the launch of the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro approaches, it’s clear that OnePlus is aiming to redefine the smartphone experience with cutting-edge features in photography, battery technology, and display innovation. Stay tuned for more details on these flagship devices set to revolutionize the market!
