Nothing is gearing up to enter the open-ear earbud market with the official launch of the Nothing Ear (Open) today, September 24, at 14:00 UK time (15:00 CET, 9 AM New York, 6 AM California, and 18:30 India). Ahead of the big event, leaks have revealed almost everything about these much-anticipated earbuds.
The Ear (Open) stays true to Nothing’s semi-transparent design, a hallmark of the company. Each earbud houses a 14.2mm titanium-coated polyethylene terephthalate driver. The buds are powered by a 64 mAh battery, while the case boasts a 635 mAh battery, offering a total of 30 hours of listening time. The earbuds alone will last up to eight hours, with six hours for call usage. When combined with the case, call time extends to 24 hours.
The Nothing Ear (Open) earbuds come equipped with Bluetooth 5.3, dual connection capability, and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. Other notable features include AI-powered Clear Voice technology, ultra-low latency mode for smoother sound, and even ChatGPT support when paired with a Nothing smartphone.
Despite all these features, the Ear (Open) doesn’t include active noise cancellation (ANC). Currently, it appears they will only be available in white. While pricing details remain under wraps, more information is expected to surface during the official event.
The Nothing Ear (Open) launch marks an exciting entry into the open-ear market, and these semi-transparent earbuds are designed to impress. With robust battery life, AI-powered features, and a unique look, they could become a standout option for tech enthusiasts. Keep an eye on today’s official unveiling for further pricing details!
