The leaks, reported by GSMArena, claim the iPhone 16 Pro will sport a 6.3-inch display, up from the 6.1-inch panel on the iPhone 15 Pro. Likewise, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is said to jump from a 6.7-inch screen to a whopping 6.9 inches.
Bigger Screens and Slimmer Bezels
While the screen sizes are getting a bump, the bezels are rumored to shrink dramatically. The leaks suggest a 1.2mm bezel for the iPhone 16 Pro and an even slimmer 1.15mm bezel for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. This would mark a significant reduction from the 1.71mm and 1.55mm bezels found on their predecessors, respectively.
These thinner bezels could create a more immersive viewing experience and a sleeker overall design for the new iPhones.
Slight Body Size Increase and Weight Gain
The trade-off for the larger screens appears to be a slightly larger body size. The iPhone 16 Pro is expected to measure 149.6 x 71.45 x 8.25 mm, compared to the iPhone 15 Pro’s 146.6 x 70.6 x 8.25 mm. The iPhone 16 Pro Max is also rumored to see a slight increase in dimensions, measuring in at 163.02 x 77.58 x 8.26 mm, up from 159.9 x 76.7 x 8.25 mm for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The leaks also suggest a slight weight gain for both models. The iPhone 16 Pro is expected to weigh 194 grams, compared to 187 grams for the iPhone 15 Pro. The iPhone 16 Pro Max is rumored to tip the scales at 225 grams, up from 221 grams for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
