The highly anticipated Asus ROG Phone 9 is set to launch on November 19, with leaked specs revealing exciting features. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the phone focuses on gaming performance, though it offers only modest upgrades compared to its predecessor, the ROG Phone 8.
According to recent leaks, the phone retains a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a smooth 165Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, 13MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro lens, replacing the telephoto lens found in the ROG Phone 8. On the front, a 32MP selfie camera remains unchanged.
A minor battery upgrade from 5,500mAh to 5,800mAh is expected, with 65W fast charging. However, wireless charging remains speculative. Other notable features include a 3.5mm headphone jack with Hi-Fi DAC, ensuring excellent audio quality for gamers.
In terms of AI, the phone brings new capabilities, such as AI-powered call translation, game upscaling, and enhanced object recognition. Renders also show the phone will come in Storm White and Phantom Black finishes, featuring a secondary display on the back.
