Oppo has officially unveiled ColorOS 15, its latest Android 15-based interface, ahead of the much-anticipated Find X8 series launch. This new software brings a fresh design with revamped icons, dynamic lighting effects, and natural light elements for a more immersive user experience. The Aurora and Tidal Engine adds system-level rendering that ensures lag-free, responsive animations even during rapid app switching.
ColorOS 15 includes significant AI-powered enhancements, with Oppo’s XiaoBu Assistant offering conversational capabilities and on-screen content-aware queries. The new update also introduces AI image processing features, like one-touch person and reflection removal, portrait blur fixes, and live photo stabilization with electronic image stabilization (EIS).
Performance is another focus, with Oppo implementing system-level dynamic cache allocation and optimization measures, resulting in an 18% improvement in app responsiveness and 26% faster installations. Additionally, users will notice a separate notification shade and control center for better multitasking.
Further AI tools are embedded in the notes app, voice recorder, and document scanner, offering smarter note formatting, voice-to-text transcriptions, and even translation between languages.
ColorOS 15 will debut with the Oppo Find X8 series and OnePlus 13 devices in China, with updates for older models like the Find X7, Find N3, and OnePlus Ace 3 beginning in November.
