Honor’s AI-Based Eye-Tracking Feature to Launch Globally on August 27

Honor is set to revolutionize smartphone interaction with the global rollout of its AI-based eye-tracking feature, starting on August 27. This innovative technology, which first debuted in China on the Magic6 Pro, will now be accessible to users worldwide through MagicOS 8.0.

The AI-based eye-tracking feature allows users to control their devices with just their eyes, opening apps, notifications, and more without touching the screen. This technology was demonstrated in February when an engineer used it to start and control a car, showcasing its potential beyond mobile devices.

Honor is also advancing its multimodal AI technology by developing non-invasive brain-computer interface (BCI) tech. This cutting-edge technology enables communication between the brain and external devices using electrical signals, offering significant benefits to individuals with disabilities or those needing additional assistance.

Highlighting the real-world impact of this innovation, BBC Storyworks produced a short film about a person with ALS who uses Honor’s eye-tracking technology to communicate and create artwork, demonstrating the life-changing possibilities of these advancements.
